Jones County Sheriff's deputies have a warning about a new scam.
Sheriff Butch Reece says victims reported getting calls from someone claiming to be a UPS employee.
The caller often has a foreign accent but uses popular American names.
Scammers then ask the victim when he or she will be home to receive a package.
The caller also wants your personal information and gives out false tracking numbers.
If you get a call like this, hang up and call the Jones County Sheriff's Office at 478-986-3489.
