A Bibb County dog attack is under investigation. The incident happened at Skyview Mobile Home Park off of Houston Road. 69-year-old Margaret McNicholas was in her yard around 1 p.m. Thursday and was attacked by her neighbor's two dogs, which were identified by neighbors and deputies as pit bulls. The escaped a pen in which they are normally housed. McNicholas was bitten in the head and neck. A man at her home fended off the dogs with a broom. McNicholas is being treated at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. When deputies arrived on the scene, one of the dogs charged at him aggressively forcing the deputy to shoot and kill the dog. The second dog then charged the deputy, leading him to shoot and kill the second dog as well. According to Cara Donlon-Cotton with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the owners of the dogs were not at home when the incident occurred.
