FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Police say a robbery attempt at a Chinese restaurant in metro Atlanta led to a shootout that wounded a worker and one of the robbers.
WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1axAd5K ) two masked men entered the back door of the China Cafe in Fayette County after closing late Friday and held three employees at gunpoint. Police say one of the workers also had a gun and shot one of the robbers in the head.
The second robber returned fire and injured another restaurant employee, who was hospitalized in serious condition.
Fayetteville police Lt. Mike Whitlow says both robbers got away and investigators are checking area hospitals for the one who got wounded. He says police suspect the same men robbed another Chinese restaurant in the area earlier last week.
