Some people in Perry aren't happy Monday after being evacuated from their apartment complex.

The Crossroads Apartments on General Courtney Hodges Boulevard was evacuated today after a complaint that the building was unsafe for people living there.

The Perry Fire Department says there were numerous violations from electrical wiring to the strength of the construction.

The original evacuation was planned for Friday afternoon but was pushed back until Monday.

The apartments started as a hotel back in the 1960's and became an apartment complex in the 1990's after the owner began renting the rooms long term.

Some of the residents say they have no place to go.
