WASHINGTON (AP) — Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (seh-BEEL'-yuhs) heads to Capitol Hill today to answer questions about problems many Americans have had trying to sign up for health insurance on the government's website. Lawmakers on the House Energy and Commerce Committee also may ask her why there's been a wave of cancellation notices hitting small businesses and individuals who buy their own health insurance. WASHINGTON (AP) — Economists say the Federal Reserve will likely decide to maintain the pace of the stimulus it's supplying to the economy. Today's expected announcement following a two-day meeting marks a reversal from just six weeks ago. Before the government shutdown shaved about $25 billion from economic growth this quarter, many experts thought the Fed would start trimming its $85 billion in monthly bond purchases. ISLAMABAD (AP) — The Pakistani government says since 2008, U.S. drone strikes have killed more than 2,100 Islamic militants and nearly 70 civilians in the country. Pakistan's Ministry of Defense provided the data in response to questions from the Senate. An U.N. expert said earlier this month that the Pakistani government told him at least 400 civilians have been killed by drone strokes since they started in 2004. GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. (AP) — Authorities in Greenwood County, S.C. believe a man who called police saying he was thinking about hurting himself is one of the six people found dead in a home. Two of the victims are children. Authorities are not saying if it was a murder suicide, but they're calling it "a domestic-related incident." ALDIE, Va. (AP) — A co-owner of the Mars candy company will face a misdemeanor charge for a car crash that killed a woman. Authorities in northern Virginia have served 74-year-old Jacqueline Badger Mars with a summons for reckless driving. Authorities say Mars was driving a Porsche SUV Oct. 4 when it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a minivan, killing 86-year-old Irene Ellisor of Huntsville, Texas. Mars is ranked by Forbes Magazine as the world's seventh richest woman.
