Distraught family members and friends gather on Bobby Jones Lane to mourn the loss of 16-year old Antrez Felder.
Family members found Felder, a Southwest High School student, dead at his home with a gunshot wound to the head Tuesday morning.
Authorities say it happened just before 4:30 a.m.
Relatives say they heard a gunfire in his room and rushed to his side but it was too late.
Bibb County deputies are not sure whether Felder took his own life, was the victim of accident or was killed by someone else.
The Macon-Bibb coroner, Leon Jones says Felder was only shot once.
The family says they believe Felder was trying to hide a gun under his mattress when it accidentally went off.
His uncle Charles Lester just spoke to him shortly before his death and was suppose to take him to school later in the morning.
Lester says Felder had a big heart and big dreams.
"He talked about going to the military after high school, he wasn't the type of person that had a pretty face and a ugly attitude, he had beauty all the way around him," Lester said.
Funeral arrangements will be made at the Bentley and Sons Funeral Home.
