Alyssa Jackson was shot to death in a drive-by shooting in Macon's Unionville neighborhood back on October 21st. With Alyssa's mother in the front row, the students of Southwest High held a memorial in her honor.

One by one, they filled the aisles and took their seat inside the school's auditorium. Students remembered their friend through song, dance and spoken word.

Sebastian Jackson, Ayssa's father knew many of his daughter's closest friends. Jackson says he's proud of how her classmates chose to honor her,"it makes me feel good to know that someone besides sheneese (mother), my daughters, my mom and myself were blessed to experience and appreciate the spirit that Alyssa showed."
