Three people are hospitalized after a two-car accident Thursday in southern Bibb County.
The accident happened just before 2 p.m. Thursday on Hartley Bridge Road near the I-75 interchange.
Sean Defoe with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office tells WGXA the driver of a gold Mercedes was exiting the I-75 off ramp and was turning onto Hartley Bridge Road when a blue Honda slammed into it. Two teenagers in the Honda were taken to the hospital, as was the 77-year-old passenger of the Mercedes. All 3 were listed in stable condition.
Deputies say all four were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
Thursday's accident is eerily similar to a fatal collision less than 2 weeks ago.
85-year-old Robert Gamble of Byron was killed after a truck hit his Honda. A Georgia State Patrol spokesperson says Gamble failed to yield when he was turning left onto the I-75 ramp on Hartley Bridge Road. Gamble died on the scene.
