The historically low temperatures that swept through Middle Georgia are in the past. With a cold front on the way, central Georgia is expected to see snow beginning Tuesday.

"Be prepared tonight for anything that may occur first thing in the morning. It will probably be an event that will go all the way through to about noon on Wednesday," said Don Druitt. Druitt is the Director of the Bibb County Emergency Management Agency, hosted a webinar with the National Weather Service.

Forecasters predict 2-4 inches of snow will fall across the area. Another concern will be ice expected to precede the snow. Druitt says residents of Middle Georgia should take the steps necessary to be prepared."Make sure you're supply kits are ready today as you're gona be much more prepared for any event that may occur," says Druitt.

Ace hardware on Riverside drive has fully stocked their shelves with everything you need to be ready. Sharvis is the assistant manager at the store. "Putting more of the firewood out, faucet cover for the low welder to keep the faucet from freezing, more firewood."

Sharvis has worked at Ace more than five years. He says it's been three years since they've sold any snow shovels.
