Severe storms have left behind numerous downed trees and power lines in central Georgia Saturday. One storm may be responsible for at least one tornado in Twiggs, Wilkinson and Washington counties.

The National Weather Service will be coming to the area Sunday to survey the damage for a possible tornado. WGXA has reports of trees down from Houston County into Twiggs, Wilkinson and Washington Counties. The same storm is suspected of producing damage along a 120 mile path from Houston County to Augusta and into South Carolina.

Chief Meteorologist Jeff Cox says the rest of the weekend will be much calmer with sunshine Sunday.
