Two Bibb County Inmates are facing new charges after bringing marijuana, loose leaf tobacco, a lighter and a cell phone back to jail after going to their grandmother's funeral.

The inmates, identified as Henry Ison Rouse and Nekoase Antwan Vinson, were searched by deputies and put in handcuffs and leg restraints before being taken to Bentley and Son's Funeral Home Thursday evening for a private viewing of their Grandmother.

After viewing their grandmother under the supervision of Bibb County Sheriff's Corrections Deputies, they were taken back to jail and searched again. That's when the contraband was found. WGXA has learned the inmates were at the casket, viewing their grandmother, when they got the contraband.

Bibb County Sheriff David Davis tells WGXA, "This incident illustrates the audacity of this generation of jail inmates. To use the body of a deceased grandmother to hide drugs and other contraband is wicked.”

The incident remains under investigation.
