U.S. Marshals arrest a Macon teenager wanted on Kidnapping and Armed Robbery charges at a local motel.
According to a press release, 19-year old Brandon Howard and his girlfriend, Chanelle Smith, were taken into custody at the America’s Best Value Inn on Eisenhower Pkwy on Wednesday. Howard is charged with Kidnapping, Burglary, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. Smith is charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.
U.S. Marshals say Howard was wanted by the Macon Police Department for an Attempted Robbery on August 9th. Howard was also wanted by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office for Kidnapping, Burglary, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime that occurred on November 18th on Howard Oaks Drive.
The pair was arrested after an anonymous tip to Crimestoppers helped identify Howard as the suspect in the Kidnapping and Armed Robbery.
The Macon Police Department, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive task force conducted an extensive investigation to locate and arrest Howard.
