The Warner Robins Police Department identifies the suspect in the Econo Lodge fatal shooting as 32-year old Kenneth Sharpe of Biloxi, Mississippi.
Assistant Chief John Wagner tells WGXA, Sharpe was pronounced dead in Oxford, Alabama from a gunshot wound. Wagner says preliminary evidence shows, Sharpe and 23-year old Matthew Gardner of Warner Robins, got into an argument that ended in gunfire from both men, early Thursday morning. Gardner was pronounced dead at the Watson Boulevard motel.
Wagner says a woman named Emily Hooker was traveling with Sharpe, she is in custody in Alabama, charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of a Pistol Without a Permit.
Wagner says the case remains under investigation by the Warner Robins Police Department, Oxford Police Department and the Peach County Coroner's Office.
