The city of Warner Robins is stressing the city's tap water is safe to drink.
A press release was issued in response to a recent mailing, that suggested high and unsafe levels of thallium had been detected in the water.
According to the release, the water sample in question was taken from a treatment plant that is offline and was not providing water to the city at the time the sample was taken. The city has since determined the cause of the thallium reading was a sampling error and that there is no thallium in the city's drinking water.
