NEW YORK (AP) — Anthony Weiner finished primary night with a final gesture that was quickly becoming an Internet sensation like the sexting scandal that doomed his New York City mayoral campaign. Weiner's middle-finger goodbye to photographers who chased him to his car was making the rounds online early Wednesday. It was an exclamation mark of sorts on one of the most awkward campaigns in city history. On Tuesday, he attracted only about 5 percent of the Democratic primary vote. Another politician with a sex scandal, former Gov. Eliot Spitzer, lost the Democratic primary contest for city comptroller to Scott Stringer, the Manhattan borough president. Stringer took 52 percent of the vote to Spitzer's 48 percent.
