Bibb County student is facing multiple charges after bringing a gun to school and threatening a staff member on Thursday morning.

Stephanie Hartley with the Bibb County School System tells WGXA,  a 15-year old is charged with multiple felony counts after he displayed a firearm to a school official on the Westside High School campus.
Hartley says just before noon, the student was in the parking lot when he lifted his shirt and made a threatening remark, while displaying a firearm at his waist to a school official.

The school was placed on emergency lockdown, Campus Police responded and arrested the teenager.

The incident remains under investigation by the Campus Police Department.
