Large families of wild pigs cause major problem to farmers by eating their crops, causing big losses.
Rod Pinkston is a former member of the Military. He created a mine trapping system to capture the pigs. An overhead camera allows you to monitor the pigs remotely from your cell phone.

"Every time there's motion in front of the camera it'll send you a text photo. As soon as we see one hundred percent of the pigs are inside we send a text message back to the camera. The camera receives that text message and wirelessly transmits to the receiver on the control box to drop the gate.

Farmers in Dooley County gathered today at the UGA Extension service to discuss ways of reducing the pig problem.
